But rather than taking patients in for surgery, or families to visit loved ones, a selfless band of volunteer riders and drivers transport a very different sort of passenger. Members of the Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers charity (Serv) make themselves available evenings and weekends to take vital items such as blood, samples and breast milk to and from hospitals."

Our volunteers cover all fuel and servicing costs for their bikes themselves, so we are relying on public donations to achieve our current aim to purchase and maintain a dedicated, specialised, motorbike for essential blood runs. We thank you for your support!

SERV is a registered charity (No. 284455) that provides a free out of hours transportation service for NHS Hospitals across Hampshire between 1900 and 0600 365 days of the year. SERV transports blood products and other urgent consignments allowing hospitals to divert resources elsewhere.
SERV Hampshire needs more volunteers, riders, drivers, controllers and fundraisers. Please see the relevant sections of this website for more information.
All of our members are volunteers and often receive no reimbursement for their expenses.
The Service is run entirely on donations, we do not receive any funding apart from charitable donations. SERV Hampshire needs to raise £15,000 this year to achieve our goals, if you wish to make a donation in the form of cash or an item that we can auction please contact
